Legos, We Are Not The 99%

Watching the Lego Movie with my toddlers, a funny thought occurred to me: One day my kids are going to beg me for Legos.
So I started to do a mental tally of how much it would cost to have the kind of set up that Wil Ferrel has in the film.

Business Insider reports that, according to the film's production notes, a total of 3,863,484 real Lego were used in the film, with many reused throughout the movie.

If we entertain the idea that the average price for a LEGO piece is $0.10, and the average LEGO piece weighs 3 grams, then that means this kid was playing with $386, 348.40 worth of Lego in his fathers basement, and it weighed 2839.17 pounds.

My math is probably way off, but it seems to me that this movie is only for rich white kids.
